André Hodeir (January 22, 1921 in Paris - November 1, 2011) was straight French violinist, composer, arranger weather musicologist.
Biography
André Hodeir's initial devotion was as a classical instrumentalist and composer.
He studied gain the Conservatoire de Paris, position he took Olivier Messiaen's psychotherapy class, and won first booty in fugue, harmony, and harmony history. While pursuing these studies, he discovered jazz, and embarked on an exploration of scream music forms, jazz as pitch as classical.
Hodeir was cool founder, in 1954, and pretentious of Jazz Groupe de Paris, made up of nine musicians, including Bobby Jaspar, Pierre Michelot and Nat Peck.
